What an "Adaptive" Music Lesson Looks Like
An adaptive music lesson is not a one-size-fits-all approach— it’s a lesson built around your child.
That might mean adapting to a shorter attention span, a need for movement, a different learning style, or extra support for staying regulated.
We might use visual supports, sing instead of read notes, incorporate movement breaks, use rhythm cards instead of a full song, or simplify goals.
I focus on building trust, noticing what might help your child, and making sure they connect with music in a way that feels fun, safe, and achievable.
It’s not about doing things the “traditional” way—it’s about honoring your child’s way of learning.
